Dean has been a theater dad since the first year of CYT WICHITA. All three of his girls graduated through the program with wonderful memories of CYT. Through that decade, he has served as drama instructor, technical director and those experiences combined with decades of youth ministry have allowed him to grow into a full production director. He studied Business Management at Friends University which allowed him opportunities to assist in starting a church, open a partnership business, operate a concert ministry all while developing a career as General Sales Manager for a Fortune 500 aerospace materials company. He has been married to his wife, Audra, for over 28 years. They also own and operate nOtsOnOrmAl Events and Entertainment for weddings, banquets, concerts and our prom alternative the nOtsOnOrmAl fOrmAl. His passion for youth to live boldly for Christ is what drives his vision for Christian Performance Theatre. email@example.com
Sheryl was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas and is thankful to be raising her family in her hometown. Sheryl was involved in swimming, volleyball, softball, track and pom-pom growing up. Sheryl graduated from The University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She lives in west Wichita with her family and two beloved dogs. When her girls wanted to get involved in theater it was a new experience for the family. Little did she know, nine years ago when her girls started taking theater classes, it would lead to her becoming the Show Coordinator. It has been great fun learning all that goes into producing a musical. It has been a great joy watching her daughters grow and develop their talents one stage at a time. She feels so blessed and honored to be working with the families of Christian Performance Theatre.
A native of Wichita, Cheryl Doeden has been a part of the fine arts community from an early age. Trained on the viola, she participated in Wichita Youth Orchestras during junior and senior high school. She graduated from Tabor College with a Music Performance degree in viola and a minor in voice. She played with the Wichita Symphony for many years. It was at Tabor that she met her husband-to-be, Brad. Since then, she took on the new roles of mother and homeschool teacher to eight children, and more recently grandma to 13 and counting. Gratefully, in 2009 she saw her prayers for Christian Youth Theater to come to Wichita answered. She and her family have been involved ever since in various ways. Cheryl is thrilled to continue helping families now through Christian Performance Theatre. She and her family are active members of Evangel Presbyterian Church.
